 One day a little girl was helping her mother bake cookies when she tasted one of the chocolate squares her mother was using in the cookie dough. "Yuck!" she exclaimed. "This tastes bitter." Taking a batch of cookies from the oven, her mother offered her one to sample. To the girl's surprise, it tasted good. The bitterness of the baker’s chocolate squares had disappeared.
Sometimes life is similar to a bowl of cookie dough -- full of bitter experiences. One may wonder how anything good can come out of it all. Yet God in His wisdom is able to make "all things work together for good" (Romans 8:28). He is the Master Chef. You can trust Him and be assured that He will not put anything into the dough of your life by mistake. “For He careth for you” (1 Peter 5:7).
