Thou (Lord) wilt light my candle... 

     For thousands of years, man's primary source of light was the candle. Early candles were crudely made by wrapping fats in husks. Newer candles are made by embedding a wick in tallow and mineral wax. But, regardless of how candles are made, one thing is common unto them all. If you want a candle to provide light and drive away the darkness, it must be set on fire.
     The same holds true for the Christian. If we want to shine brightly for the Lord Jesus Christ and drive out the darkness of sin in the world, we must permit Him to set us on fire. Just as a candle is completely consumed when lit, we must allow the Lord to completely have all of us--mind, body, and soul.

     Don’t just go to the church-house and
     Turn out for Jesus;
     But rather, go a step further and
     Burn out for Jesus.
