 Capillary action is the rising of a liquid to a higher level through another material. An example of this is found in an oil lamp where oil rises upwards through a wick. The reason for this phonomina is because the molucules of oil near the wick have a greater attraction to the wick than to the surrounding oil.
Like the rising of oil through a wick, you also shall be lifted up when you become attracted to Jesus Christ. For if you "draw nigh unto God... He shall lift you up" (James 4:8,10).
