Peas are small seeds which grow inside of a pod. When ripe, the peas are shelled out and harvested. Solomon Peas was another kind of pea all together -- not the regular garden variety. The following epitaph appears on his tombstone:
Here lies the body of Solomon Peas,
Under the daisies and under the trees.
Peas is not here, only the pod.
Peas shelled out, went home to God.
Like peas in a pod, we also shall be shelled out of our earthly bodies at the time of death. The wicked unto "everlasting punishment" (Matt. 25:41) and the righteous unto "the joy of the Lord" (Matt. 25:21) where "God shall wipe away all tears...and there shall be no more...sorrow, nor...pain" (Rev. 21:4.
Therefore, "blessed are they that do His commandments..." (Rev. 22:14). They "shall come forth... unto the resurrection of life..." (John 5:29).
