 In 1687, Sir Isaac Newton defined the law of gravitation. He said that all objects attract each other; and the force of their attraction depends on the quantity of matter each object contains and the distance between them.
Gravity has been around for a long time. It is the force that holds our world together. The law of gravitation never changes nor grows old-fashioned just because of its age.
Like gravity, the Word of God has also been around for a long time. “It is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth” (Romans 1:16). And like gravity, it also does not change nor grow old-fashioned just because of its age.
Therefore, let us "desire the...Word" (1 Peter 2:2) for “we through... (the) comfort of the scriptures... have hope” (Romans 15:4).
