The Monroe Doctrine was issued by the fifth president of the United States, James Monroe, in an address to Congress on December 2, 1823. The proclamation was a hands-off warning to the European nations that the United States would not tolerate any further colonization or interference in the affairs of the Americas.
Like the United States government on guard from foreign interference, the saints of Jesus Christ must constantly be on guard from interference from satan. God has declared His own version of the Monroe Doctrine when He said "touch not mine anointed..." (Ps 105:15). The Hebrew word for anointed is mashiyach. It’s definition, according to Strong's Hebrew Dictionary, says that all of Christ’s saints are annointed. Thus He has given the powers of darkness orders not to touch them.
When confronted by satan's interference in your life, give him a hands-off warning by proclaiming Jesus' words, "Get thee behind me satan" (Luke 4:8). "Submit yourselves... to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7).
