"Wooden-Leg" Experience

 Be not overcome...
but overcome...

(Romans 12:21)

Monty_Stratton     On November 27, 1938; Major League baseball pitcher, Monty Stratton (1912-1982), was hunting rabbits when he fell and discharged his shotgun into his right leg. The misfortunate accident resulted in the amputation of his leg. Afterwards, equipped with a wooden leg, Stratton went on to work as a coach with the White Sox. In 1946 he made a successful comeback as a pitcher, winning 18 games with the Class-C Sherman Twins of the East Texas League.
Life sometimes hands us a "wooden-leg-experience," so to speak. But, we don't have to let misfortunes keep us down. When life hands you a "wooden leg" be like Monty Stratton and use it to get back on your feet.
"In the name of Jesus Christ... rise up..."
(Acts 3:6) and be an overcomer. For "with God all things are possible" (Mt 19:26).
