The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the Lord. 

     On May 27,1967, Egypt's president Gamal Abdel Nasser boasted, "We (Egypt, Syria, and Jordan) intend to open a general assault against Israel... Our basic aim is the destruction of Israel." Greatly out-numbered, Israel appeared to be on the verge of annihilation. But rather than give up, Israel launched a surprise attack on June 5, 1967. Six days later the war was over. Israel had won the Six Day War and controlled three times more territory than before.
     Like the Israelis, you also may be facing a foe who boasts, "I have counsel and strength for war: now on whom dost thou trust?" (Isa 36:5). Once when faced such a dilemma David replied, "some trust in chariots, and... horses but we will remember the... Lord" (Ps 20:7). Therefore, like David, "trust in the Lord" (Ps 115:10) "for... He will not fail thee nor forsake thee" (Deu 31:6). "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper" (Isa 54:17).
