Resurrection Plant

 Thou wilt revive me...
(Psalm 138:7)

The Resurrection Plant is a small scaly leaved juniper-like plant that lives in the desert regions of the southwest United States. It is so named because of its ability to survive extreme dry spells lasting for months and even years. During dry conditions, it curls up into a ball to conserve moisture. When the rain comes, it revives and grows as if resurrected from the dead.
Like the Resurrection Plant, you also may be facing a dry spell and feel like saying, "God, why hast Thou forsaken me? why art Thou so far from helping me"
(Ps 22:1). That is the way Jesus felt as He hung dying on the cross for our sins (see Mk 15:34). Yet in His darkest hour there was hope, for "God raised (Him) up the third day" (Act 10:40) and resurrected Him. Likewise there is hope for you. "Trust in the Lord... and lean not unto thine own understanding" (Pro 3:5) for "God... doeth great... things... to set up on high those that be low" (Job 5:8,9,11). "They that dwell under His shadow shall... revive... and grow" (Hos 14:7).
