 One of the most intriguing wrestling matches occurred in 1520 during a sporting event in England at the “Field of the Cloth of Gold” between England’s king, Henry VIII, and France’s king, Francis I. The match ended with Francis throwing Henry to the ground and winning the day.
An even more interesting wrestling match took place between Jacob and a man, whom he later understood to be Jehovah God (Gen 32:30). Jacob got a hold of God and declared "I will not let Thee go, except Thou bless me" (Gen 32:26). His perseverance resulted in him receiving "power with God" (Gen 32:28). Likewise we also can receive power with God and win the day when we get a hold of God throught prayer. For "all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive" (Mt 21:22). Therefore "pray without ceasing" (1Th 5:17), "expecting to receive" (Act 3:5).
