A Constant Struggle

 Hold fast...
(Hebrews 10:23)

Limpet     Limpets are small shelled sea creatures that live on rocky seashores, in all parts of the world. Their lives are a constant struggle. Incoming tides push hard as if to crush them. Outgoing tides tug vigorously in an attempt to drag them out to sea. Their only defense against these vicious attacks is their powerful foot which holds them securely to a rock by means of suction.
Life's circumstances are a lot like the ocean's tide, pushing and pulling at us in an attempt to crush and drag us from our mooring. Like a limpet, we must hold fast unto our rock, "the Lord... the rock of (our) salvation"
(2Sa 22:47). He is the "anchor of (our) soul" (Heb 6:19). Therefore continue to "hold fast... unto the end" (Heb 3:6). For our "help cometh from the Lord... He will not suffer thy foot to be moved" (Ps 121:2,3).
