Your Finest Hour

 God… giveth us the victory…
(1Corinthians 15:57)

Man Holding Trophy     Winston Churchill (1874-1965) was a British statesman who began his political career in 1900. For the next 29 years, he served his country in various government positions until the summer of 1929 when he found himself on the outside looking in. During the ten years that followed, which he called his Wilderness Years, he became a "Voice Crying In The Wilderness," warning his country of Nazi Germany's impending threat. His fortune changed after the beginning of World War II when, in 1940, he was appointed as England's Prime Minister. It was the end of his Wilderness Years and the beginning of his "Finest Hour."
If you want to experience your Finest Hour you, as Winston Churchill, are going to have to spend some time in the wilderness. Even Jesus had a Wilderness Experience
(Lk 4:1) in which He was tried and tempted of the devil. He won the victory by quoting God's word and saying, "It is written." You, likewise, can also be victorious when you "resist the devil" (Jam 4:7) with the word of God.
